These heavy-duty, military padlock hasps are made of military-grade stainless steel and designed to prevent attacking the padlock by reducing the chance of bolt cutters or grinders accessing the lock.
The hasp covers the top of the padlock including all of the shackle and limits movement of the lock to around 15 degrees in any given direction. Access to the bottom of the lock is limited, making picking nearly impossible.
The hasp components were originally developed through a joint effort between the Crane Weapons Lab and Shellcast Inc. These organizations worked together to bring the design and manufacturing process to where it is today in order to address the U.S. Government’s needs to enhance security for munitions storage on land and at sea. The project has seen significant growth over the years because of the effective combination of good design and quality materials.
